A modern day Old MacDonald hits Byron Bay as The Farm sets up shop with their collection of Highland cattle, 600 chooks and herd of pigs. What is the Farm you ask? It’s a sustainable yet traditional establishment that owners Tom & Emma Lane aim to grow, feed and educate the community with their "farm to plate" philosophy. Visitors are welcome to stroll through fields of organic produce, taste test award winning cheeses and indulge in honest local cuisine.
Famed paddock to plate restaurant Three Blue Ducks who made its name in Sydney, will be opening their newest restaurant at The Farm. Continuing their tradition of sourcing the freshest local produce, which we might add is only a hop, skip and jump away from their kitchen window! The Farm also boasts a flower shop, playground and a bakery specialising in organic sourdoughs and croissants.
In the near future, the Farm will be offering folks an array of wholesome cooking classes and coffee programs. Another upcoming development is the Farm’s open tours, yoga sessions and beekeeping workshops. So stay tuned!
Alluxia would also encourage you to venture to the Farm Shop which is jammed packed with their own and local produce. You’ll find the Farm’s brands of cheeses, garlic and butter, as well as countless varieties of deli foods, healthy nibbles, condiments and gifts for your foodie friends. If you’re not able to pop into the Farm, their award winning cheeses, butter and garlic are available online.
We’d encourage you to experience the love, passion and enthusiasm of the Farm by getting your hands dirty or by treating yourself to their exceptional paddock to plate menu. It’s an opportunity to relish simplicity at its finest.
