Australians love Champagne!
Last year Australians popped an all-time record of 8.53 million bottles, up a massive 16% on 2016. This unprecedented growth positioned Australia as the fastest-growing of champagne's top ten markets.
Australia ranks seventh in the Top 10 largest champagne markets, boasting the biggest consumption per head of population outside Europe.
Australia is riding a 16-year long champagne high. With maturing palates and a rising spend per bottle, champagne is no longer a special occasion luxury but a regular indulgence.
If you're a champagne lover, there's no better place to unleash your passion for bubbles than Taste Champagne!
Rolling in to a city near you in August, Taste Champagne has exploded to become the biggest Champagne event series in the world. Hosted by Tyson Stelzer, author of The Champagne Guide and International Wine & Spirit Communicator of the Year, the event will be even bigger this year, adding Adelaide to the lineup.
Taste Champagne is a grand tasting where guests are invited to taste at their own pace between houses, growers and cooperatives from the large range of brands showcased at each event. In 2018, Taste Champagne will be showcasing a record 267 cuvées from 81 estates. Highlights include Dom Pérignon, Krug, Lallier, Laurent-Perrier, Laurenti, Ruinart and many more.
Last year, every event was a sell out, so grab your ticket here to avoid disappointment. Tickets include a hot fork dish and a Riedel Veritas Champagne Flute valued at $60.
