Noosa Long Weekend Festival is 13 days of arts, literature, forums, food & fun in the idyllic surrounds of the Noosa region. This unique festival delivers a diverse range of arts and cultural experiences from local, national and international artists to the Noosa stage. This year’s line up is set to be fun, thought provoking and entertaining as ever. Here’s our pick of the festival programme:
Music
Opera Australia presents The Magic Flute complete with fabulous 1930’s costumes, chamber orchestra and a vibrant cast of singers.

Forums
In what will be a lively forum, four eminent Australians Prof John Hewson AM, Prof Bob Carter, Geoffrey Cousins and Des Moore will grapple the big issue of Climate Change. Deciphering the science and managing the politics will be a crucial test for the Abbott government and one thing you can count on is lively debate. Moderator will be former Federal Minister in the Hawke Government Gary Johns.

Literature
Sydney based author Liane Moriarty of the No. 1 New York Times best seller ‘The Husband’s Secret’ will be discussing her latest book Big Little Lies in conversation with Kristin Williamson. We LOVED ‘The Husband’s Secret’ even making an appearance on our Top 5 Beach Reads list this year, so we’re excited to sink our teeth into Moriarty’s latest book.
