WorldPride kicks off in Sydney this month with over 300 events including a beach party at Bondi, traffic stopping march on the Harbour Bridge and more. It will be the first time WorldPride has been held in the Southern Hemisphere and the Asia-Pacific region since is was first hosted in Rome in 2000 and will run concurrently with Sydney’s annual Mardi Gras.
Sydney hotels are turning up the glitz and glamour to welcome guests for WorldPride including Ovolo Woolloomooloo who are celebrating with Drag Concierges, a Drag Recovery Brunch and free M·A·C Cosmetic glam stations, as well as a giant rainbow carpet adorning its statement staircase and larger-than-life stiletto installation. Throughout the festival, Ovolo's signature Perk bag will also be Pride-themed, with cheeky inclusions to ramp up the fun factor.

Fun and fabulous drag queens will be stationed at Ovolo Woolloomooloo reception at key times throughout the festival to meet and greet guests and spill the tea on the hottest Pride Week events in town. Adding a touch of theatre and entertainment to the arrival experience, Ovolo's team of Drag Concierges will be led by their very own Joshua Collins, aka 'The thin Lizzi', who is a Front Office Manager at Ovolo the Valley in Brisbane by day and drag entertainer by night.

The hotel has partnered with Virgin Australia in celebration of their annual Pride Flight services to create the inaugural Pride Flight Recovery Brunch, which will be hosted in the new-look Alibi Bar & Dining on Saturday 25th February including major prizes for best dressed, encouraging guests to dial up the sequins and glitter to catch the eye of the judges.
