The Sunshine Coast is a great destination for a family holiday, but don't take our word for it - Andrew Scott, aged 13 writes about his recent family holiday to Sunshine Beach.
The Sunshine Coast is one of the best places in Australia for families to hang out and have fun with its crystal clear beaches and its warm sunny weather, it’s the perfect place for a family holiday. It’s a quick 90 minute drive from Brisbane, which makes it an easy destination for families from Brisbane or anywhere in Australia.
One of the best beaches on the Sunshine Coast is Noosa Main Beach, with great surfing points also found past the main beach. The national park is a great place to have lunch, with views of the beaches and the sight of wildlife such as Koalas and Bush Turkeys. When I was surfing at Noosa Point my Dad and I had a really close encounter with some huge friendly giants of the sea, two Sea Turtles. Those same two Turtles hung around my Dad and I for two and a half hours, just watching us and swimming around enjoying the warm Queensland water.
The Sunshine Coast is known for its cafes and there is no better place to test out the coffee than Dukes Deli in Sunshine Beach. Mum enjoyed the perfect coffee & cake selection and we loved their fresh and healthy baguettes and also their milkshakes. Another tasty thing to have while on the Sunshine Coast is when walking down to Noosa Beach there is a icey cone stand called Bobs Icey Cones - this a winner for kids. The Sunshine Beach Surf Club has some of the best food, including beer battered Barramundi and Chicken Schnitzel.
Overall the Sunshine Coast is one the greatest places I have ever visited. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a good time.
