This year Anzac Day falls on a Thursday, so it’s the perfect opportunity to take Friday off (cough, cough) and have a very Australian long weekend.
For Sydneysiders, a short drive from the city has you experiencing the majesty of the Blue Mountains, or sip wine fireside in the Hunter Valley for a weekend of pure bliss. If you’d rather catch the last rays of summer, try a beachside getaway to Port Stephens or the beautiful Central Coast.
Queensland has been blessed with great weather and the forecast continues with fine, sunny days so why not head to the Sunshine Coast or Hinterland, chillout down at Byron Bay or getaway in Far North Queensland.
