Book Barn Cottage is positioned at the entrance of Bendooley Estate, a 200-acre property boasting vineyards, iconic Berkelouw Book Barn, Bendooley Restaurant and cellar door.
Formerly Bendooley Estate's gatekeeper's residence, the Book Barn Cottage has been lovingly restored to provide holidaymakers with a beautifully appointed, self-contained holiday house in peaceful surrounds. Refurbished with contemporary style, this two-bedroom bungalow exudes warmth, sophistication and country charm.
The Book Barn comfortably sleeps up to five guests with the main bedroom featuring a king bed and ensuite with double vanity and shower. The second bedroom has twin beds with provision for trundle bed and separate bathroom with bath.
This Berrima holiday house includes a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities and BBQ to dine alfresco on the deck. Enjoy all the comforts of home, in addition to some little luxuries including organic bathroom toiletries, fresh flowers, open fireplace and a vast collection of books.
Book Barn Cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway or weekend with family or friends. The cottage is also ideal for brides to prepare for their big day, as Bendooley Estate is also a popular wedding reception venue in the Southern Highlands.
The garden is lined on one side by a hedge, providing privacy from the Highway. It is fully enclosed, making the cottage suitable for families with young children. Pets are also permitted with prior arrangement. There is off-street garage parking for one car and plenty of space for parking additional vehicles.
Relax at Book Barn and enjoy the simple pleasures of a good coffee, glass of wine by the fireplace, browsing the famous Berkeleouw Book Barn or a gourmet meal at Bendooley Estate Restaurant all within reach on the estate or explore all that the Southern Highlands has to offer from your Berrima base.
Bendooley Estate is located in the picturesque Southern Highlands just 3 km from historic Berrima and 10 minutes from beautiful Bowral, Mittagong or Moss Vale. It is a leisurely 90 minutes drive from Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra.
Rates for extra guests are charged as per our Pricing Schedule and the number of extra guests is limited to the capacity of the Cottage.A refund of 100% for a cancelled or aborted booking is available only if you give us at least 60 days notice. A refund of 50% is available only if you give us at least 31 days notice. Less notice of cancellation will result in there being no refund whatsoever.In the event that a booking is cancelled as a direct result of Covid-19 a complete refund will be available. Check-In commences at 2:00pm on the day of arrival.Check-In is managed by way of a security code which must be entered at your Cottage. Approximately one (1) hour prior to Check-In we will send you a ‘Welcome SMS’ which will detail the name of your Cottage way-finding directions and security code. You simply drive to your Cottage park punch in the code and enter.Check-Out is by 10:00am on the day of departure. Once you are packed ready to leave simply close the Cottage door and head out. On or after departure We will charge your credit card with any additional unpaid charges incurred during your stay. Credit card surcharges apply.Parties and any loud or unruly gatherings are strictly forbidden. Penalties may apply.Bendooley Estate is a working farm. In addition to many farming features such as pipes bores sheds fences and vegetation there are several unfenced dams and many farm animals on the Estate. You agree to take the utmost care to ensure that everyone in your party keeps safe and well clear such hazards.We accept no responsibility whatsoever for any harm loss or damage suffered by you and others in your party at any time you are on the Estate.To the extent permitted by the law you agree to release and indemnify us in respect of losses of any kind whatsoever arising out of your booking and your stay at the Estate.
