After much excitement, the Alex Perry Hotel & Apartments officially launched this week with the man himself in Brisbane for the opening.
On arrival we were greeted by a sexy welcoming committee of entertainers and the obligatory Polaroids were taken as a memento of the evening. Hilarity ensued with the entertaining gent in the lift acting as an elevator operator with a quirky comedy routine while taking us up to the rooftop celebrations.
On arrival a stunning woman greets us with a champagne skirt offering us a welcome beverage, quite appropriate on International Champagne Day! The rooftop and sundeck of Alex Perry Hotel offers uninterrupted views of the Brisbane city skyline and is kitted out with lounges and glittery scatter cushions for an overall luxe poolside vibe. Models laze on inflatable swans in the lap pool, as you do...
After some mingling with the Brisbane travel industry and some warm words from the hotel team, Alex Perry welcomed us to the launch of the hotel and alluded to more Alex Perry hotels planned for the future and then with a bang, fireworks shot from the rooftop launching the new hotel!
Eager to check out the rooms, we head downstairs where there is a choice of styles available to guests from studio, one bedroom/executive, two bedroom/executive. Our favourite room is the One Bedroom Executive with full kitchen, laundry facilities and all the mod cons, but it's the designer furnishings that make the room unique. With signature black & white palate, there's a beautiful wallpaper feature wall, stunning prints, plush designer rug and I'm completely lusting after the clover mirror tray on the coffee table.
In the bathroom there is Alex Perry signature amenities and in a stella partnership with GHD, there is a GHD hair straightener in every room ladies! Given Alex Perry's association with Foxtel, you'll also find free Foxtel channels including a 90+ channel Platinum package in the Executive rooms. In the wardrobe we find beautiful black padded hangers to hang your couture gown, no wooden or wire hangers here.
Speaking with Alex Perry, we discussed what a great location Fortitude Valley is for the hotel. On the fringe of the city, it's in the fashion and entertainment district of Brisbane and Perry explains he'd like his hometown of Sydney to be the next destination for an Alex Perry branded hotel, but it will depend on finding the right location. Darlinghurst would be his dream locale, given it's link to fashion & style and the Alex Perry head office.
The king of selfies, he's an expert at snapping a quick shot but is accessible, warm and generous with his time in meeting and greeting all the guests on the night.
Calling all fashionistas, there's a stylish new hotel in Brisbane with a host of included extras and oozing style and glamour ready for your red carpet arrival.
